Meet Our Pastor

It was at the age of 8 (1952) that I accepted the Lord as my Savior. God put the calling on my life to preach at the age of 18, but I didn't fully surrender until the age of 23. In the meantime, I became a technical engineer for Chrysler Engineering and other companies off and on until it was very clear that I needed to follow what the Lord had for me. I headed off to Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO to study to become a minister. My wife Sue and I worked as youth ministries couple in Bangor, ME until God put the desire in our hearts to start our own church. We just started driving in New England. When we drove in the Lunenburg area, God impressed our hearts that this is where we needed to be.

Since that time, I have had the privilege of seeing many people come to know the Lord through the ministry of Twin City Baptist Temple. I am honored that God has allowed me to have a hand in His mighty work in hundreds if not thousands of people's lives in the Leominster, Lunenburg/Fitchburg area through preaching and personal counsel sessions.

Erven still continues to serve as Senior Pastor of the ministry he started in 1974. His wife Sue is still by his side supporting him in his ministry and serves in Ladies Ministries and as the Choir Director of the Twin City Baptist Choir which features weekly music special and seasonal special performances (Easter, Christmas...etc) with the purpose to win more for Christ.
